Begin Your Home Business Growth With A Plan

Network marketing is one of the best ways to create wealth, even for the average individual. Yet, most people in network marketing never get beyond the starting gate. Why? The answer is simple - they don't take the necessary actions to build their home business.

Whether you are new to the home business or have been around awhile, you will find this training article to be invaluable. In this article, you will learn how to build your network marketing business by design rather than by chance. Plus, you will begin to understand the three key elements of planning and you will uncover a key tool - a plan of action - that can catapult your business toward the success you deserve.

Putting to work what we teach you in this article will be challenging and the truth is, many of you will not have the guts nor the real ambition to do what it takes.

Those who do wimp out on this, will find themselves always looking for the alternatives to growing their business and find themselves always hoping.

However, those who don't wimp out, and who truly tap into what this training will teach you, will find their businesses growing and profitable. To really make this work, you MUST have an open mind and be willing to change. You MUST be willing to do the things you have not been doing consistently in your business and willing to change your perspective of what it really takes to build your business.

Become a Professional Network Marketer

The first step is to make a commitment to become a professional network marketer. This requires building your business as a business. Building your business as a business means building from a plan. Hobbies rarely have an action plan. Non-professional networkers rarely have a plan either.

You MUST become a professional network marketer. You cannot continue to do what has not worked for you. Realize, you MUST be open minded and willing to be flexible as you build your business. This requires making changes and not doing the things that have not worked for you.

Three Key Foundational Elements of Planning

Next, you must understand the 3 key foundational elements of planning; Expectations, Changing Your Beliefs, and Goals.

1. Expectations and Beliefs on Success:

Successful people - those who achieve what they set out to do - have different beliefs than those who are unsuccessful. Some of these beliefs come from their background. Many of these beliefs were picked up from their parents. Others were acquired later in life. They CHOSE them.

Successful people don't hate the IRS. They don't begrudge the success of others nor do they expect something for nothing. They believe that opportunities abound in any economy. They have a consciousness of abundance. They are generous. They believe in patience. The successful also believe in themselves AND expect to win.

Our beliefs create our view of the world. Many people think they ARE their beliefs. They think that what they believe is who they are. We are NOT our beliefs. We have beliefs and we have choice of what we believe and what we want to believe.

It's imperative that we stay aware of beliefs that no longer serve us and open ourselves to ideas and beliefs that support us in being our best. Hold fast to those beliefs that work and be willing to discard those that don't.

2. We Must Be Willing to Change Our Beliefs:

When we choose to embrace a more effective belief, we often have to integrate it into our psyche, and affirmations can be very effective.

Be sure to visualize your future. It is ok to start small. In fact it is recommended to start small then grow from there.

Don't see yourself PREPARING to win, see yourself winning. Close your eyes and see yourself having accomplished your goal. Don't see yourself as someone else would see you but as you would be seeing yourself when your goal is accomplished.

Questions to ask yourself when visualizing your future:

- What will I be seeing when I achieve this?
- What will people be saying to me?
- - Who will be there?
- What will I be saying to others?
- What will I be doing?
- Where will I be going?
- What will I be feeling?
TIP - In both visualizing and affirming, it's best to focus in on only a fewgoals at a time. ALL of your visualizations and affirmations should complement one another and should never be in conflict.

3. Goals

Successful people have goals. They make sure the goals are measurable and they break their goals into manageable steps. They publicly announce their goals.

TIP - Publicly announce your goals only to those who will be supportive to your goals.

As you set your goals, set your goals higher than normal but still achievable for maximum motivation. Focus only on the next step and take action daily. Plus, find a coach, partner or mentor to help you stay focused.

Once you have understood your expectations, are willing to change your beliefs and set your goals, you will be ready to set a realistic plan of action in place. Putting a plan together can be somewhat challenging for most people.

Start with a 30 Day Plan of Action.

You can't build your business guessing what it really takes. And you can't plan your business long term without some critical pieces of information. Action is the key and you must know specifically the action ratios in your business. Use the first 30 days as a time to carefully track your progress (use the Daily and Weekly Tracking Sheets located in the members area http://members.leadersclub.com and don't forget to listen to the audio training on tracking).

Tracking your progress in the first 30 days is critical. Be aware of the fact that people progress differently. What it takes you to recruit a new downline will be different from what it will take your downline. Tracking your progress will give you the ratios needed to properly forecast and plan your business growth.

John Naisbitt, author of Megatrends, said, "the most reliable way to anticipate the future is to try to understand the present." Tracking your progress through the first 30 days will help you identify and understand the present. Plus, tracking will arm you with the much needed information to help you plan your future based on real growth numbers.

TIP - Don't guess at your numbers because you may be way off base. Tracking allows you to ensure you are doing the right things and that you truly are taking action.

Tracking has been an integral part of the planning process and is critical in building your business by design rather than by chance.

You Are Not In Business Alone

Keep in mind that your sponsor and upline leaders have a vested interest in your success. It is important to get in contact with your sponsor and upline leaders and express your intentions in building the business. Share your goals with them.

Be sure to get with your upline or coach if you need help in the planning process. After you have the 30 day plan completed, you will be ready to plan a 90 day plan of action. Use the stats from the 30 day plan (your real numbers) to plan out your 90 day plan of action.

As you start to work your plan, stay in contact with your upline leaders for coaching and assistance. This will be critical to help you stay on track.

Sometimes, things will not go according to your plan. That is ok. we all face challenges and failures on the journey of building our business. You can always draw the line and make a new start in your business. Use the failures and challenges as a learning experience and as a stepping stone toward your success.

Getting started with your 90 day plan of action should include a written commitment to your plan. Make a written commitment to do what you say you will do and provide a copy of that agreement to your coach or upline leader. Only what you can confidently commit to in writing can you confidently achieve (Because you followed a 30 day plan first to determine your ratios, you should have the confidence knowing you are working a plan with real numbers that work for you).

Set Long Term Goals But Work From A 90 Day Plan of Action

We all have long term goals. Put your long term goals in writing and keep these goals in from of you. Keep in mind that having your goals in writing will not magically business your business. You must take action to build your business. However, having your goals in writing and as part of your long term plan will allow you to have a purpose for what you are doing.

Because forecasting is difficult, especially in long term planning, it is best to work consistently from a 90 day plan of action. Yes, I have long range goals but my plan is based on 90 days at a time. This allows me to be flexible and to make changes without spending unending hours on a large plan.

90 days is sufficient time to effectively handle. By the time you are 60 days through the plan, you should begin developing the next 90 day plan. This approach to planning and forecasting will ensure you are working in the present.

TIP - If you are not achieving the results you want, get with your coach or upline leader to discuss the situation. Regular coaching will help you stay on track and moving forward.
